The New WEM Academy!

The summer is drawing to a close, but we are celebrating a new beginning. As of today, the WEM Academy is now available inside the WEM platform. This means a lot more insight for us, and a much better performance for you. Expect thrilling new features, such as Customer and Partner dashboards, and a senior WEM Agentic AI training agent. Who needs summer if the fall will get this hot? Stay tuned for new developments in this channel!

Update from the Academy factory! Good to see more and more of you getting aboard the Academy and developing your Junior, Medior and Senior skills. We have been quite busy with the upgrade! Noticed the new visual materials in the Junior training? We are also launching our Specialist series this quarter. Sharpen your release 5.2 Agentic AI knowledge with our brand new AI training, learn how to build custom widgets, and “pixel perfectionise” your WEM applications with your own custom design template. Year of change!

Hey there! This year 2026 will be an exciting year of change for the WEM Academy. We have more users than ever and that calls for some serious upgrades to our portfolio. Celebrating our third birthday, we will update all content and extend the modules with our new features. Agentic AI anyone? We will also equip the Academy Modules with supporting videos. Less time for reading? Learn faster by watching. And keep an eye out for our new Video Academy, featuring Tutorials for beginners and Documentation and “How To” videos for the more experienced. Search the Academy

While we are working on the Certification Exams, we have a small update to share. Now you can search the Academy trainings for topics. Need to trace back what you learned on, let’s say, Tab bars? Visit the Search page from the main menu, type your query, and hit ENTER! Results will be shown by paragraph number and the result bandwidth is quite large. Beware though that you may not be able to visit the pages based on your training progress. Let us know what you think!

No rest for the wicked. After the completion of the Senior training, we are back at building questions. This time the Medior quiz collection has been revamped. We have added over 50 new questions to 20 existing quizzes across the 6 Modules of the Medior Training. This will help you prepare for the test exam and is an excellent opportunity to revisit the completed training in your preparation for the big one. Ready to get certified?

Medior Test Exam published

All good things come in threes. With three trainings on board, we will have three Certification exams as well. In the past weeks, we filled the Junior and Medior question banks to the roof and that requires another taster in the Academy portal. The Medior Test Exam is a 15 question sampler of the level of the Medior exam. The new kid on the block is the “Use Case” question, which requires the candidate to implement a solution to a problem in a WEM exam application. Try it yourself in the Test Exam menu!

Senior training: new pastures

Another milestone for the Academy. Today we published two brand new modules in the Senior Training: “Performance & Security”, and “Scripting the Browser”. Take a deep dive into a range of topics related to expression performance and project security, then venture out into a host of styling and scripting methods to make your WEM applications perform wonders in the front-end. These two modules cover a whole new range of knowledge that was never part of any previous WEM trainings. Get your scoop!

 

Junior Test Exam published

The Junior Certification Exam is no walk over, as we found out. Last week, our launching candidates took the exam and confirmed that we deliver what we promised: a comprehensive testing of skills and knowledge. In all fairness, a couple of the questions needed some work, but they also discovered that preparation is paramount to passing our exams. So we decided to publish a taster for you. From today onwards, the Academy portal features a 30 question Junior Test Exam in order to prepare yourself for “the big one”. Locate it in the Academy main menu and try it out!

Senior Training: the Integration papers

Time for the king of the tribe: the Senior Training. We took a bit more time, but it yielded results. The Senior Training is the ultimate specialisation training, for modelers leaving no stone of the platform unturned. We rolled out the first three modules of the training, covering what we used to call the “Integration training”. Learn all about webservices – both sides! – and OData integrations, build Microsoft and Gmail apps for OData and SAML authentication, and explore the wonderful world of Comet Messaging for session interactions. Our Senior Training will connect you and your apps to the world.

 

Building questions…

… and more questions, and more questions. It is one thing to launch a new Academy Certification System but quite another to get it filled with the required content. So we are building questions now, a lot of them. To provide you with a good spread, we design different question types: single select, multi select, assertion & reason, and simple true/false statements. And open questions of course: compose your own unique answer for two points or five points, or even venture out into an exam application and solve a use case. Prepare, and you will get Certified!

The first autumn leaves are blowing, the Academy is booming. What is a learning environment without certifications? After all, if you invest so much time in becoming a professional WEM modeler, why not have the proof to show it? We are proud to announce we have incorporated the Testinvite Certification Exam system into the Academy. This comprehensive system will allow us to conduct tailor made exams at all skill levels. More importantly, it will allow YOU to validate your skills and receive that prized WEM Academy Certificate, proving your worth to your employer and clients. Stay tuned for exam dates!

 

Medior Training published

Buoyed by the success of our Junior Training, we dug deep behind our desks and are now launching the Medior Training into the Academy. The Medior Training is a hands-on self-paced interactive online training in six modules. If the focus of the Junior Training was on learning the platform, the Medior Training takes a slightly different route and focuses on building a comprehensive application. Learn from the experience of our pros, design a robust data model, implement automated processes, create colourful chart dashboard, interact with external data sources, and deploy widgets. You will learn it all in a practical manner!

The first milestone! We are proud to announce the rollout of the brand new Junior Training into our Academy. A self-paced online interactive broad knowledge training, featuring static and animating visual materials, knowledge quizzes, and a certificate upon completion. Try your hand at our six comprehensive Junior modules presenting everything WEM, from Flowcharts to Templates, from Data Model to Widgets, and from Security to Expressions. The Junior Training is a real learning training, getting you up to speed with every nook and cranny of the WEM Modeler, and providing you with a solid base for your first WEM projects.
